Straddie 1000 Day-trippers

If you're unable to stay on the island before or after the Straddie 1000 Ocean Swim, a Stradbroke Ferries Water Taxi will link with public buses to drop you right outside the Straddie Beach Hotel.

IMPORTANT: The total trip time from Cleveland to the Straddie Beach Hotel, including water taxi & bus, is approx 45 minutes.

The 12:55pm Water Taxi is therefore the last service which will get you to the event in time to register.

Adventure Run / Walk Day-trippers

If you're planning to take part in the Columbia Adventure Run / Walk but won't be staying on the island, a Stradbroke Ferries Water Taxi and public bus will get you to Point Lookout Domain on time to register.

The first Water Taxi on Sunday October 9th departs Dunwich at 6:55am.  The combined travel time from Cleveland to Point Lookout, including water taxi & bus, is approx 45 minutes so you'll arrive around 7:45am (Registration 7:30 - 8:30am)

Public buses then link with the departing Water Taxi times from Dunwich so a return ticket has you covered for getting back to Cleveland.

Straddie Salute participants will receive a 20% discount on the Stradbroke Ferries Water Taxi upon presentation of your entry confirmation receipt.

2011 Salute Teams Packages

Thanks to our event partner, Stradbroke Island Holidays, we have some fantastic Teams Packages for the Straddie Salute Offroad Triathlon. Packages for a team of three start at $600.00 which includes:

• Accommodation for 3 people for 2 nights (other options available for larger groups)
• Return Car Ferry (1 vehicle, Cleveland - Dunwich)
• Team Entry Fee
