Mousdash Travel & Parking

There are a number of travel & parking options available in 2011 so please take the time to plan your travel on event day.

Please refer to the map displayed at the bottom of the page for specific locations and zoom in for a more detailed view.

Parking in the immediate vicinity of the Event Base is limited so the early birds will get the best parks!

Competitor Drop-off Zone

The competitor drop-off zone is between the Mt Coot-tha Rd road closure and the entrance to Botanic Gardens.  Being so close to the Mousdash Event Base, this would be our recommended option so you are not caught short for time.

Vehicles will be ushered through the road closure where they can perform a u-turn, drop their competitors off and continue back out along Mt Coot-tha Rd

There is strictly no parking in this zone.

Your Parking Options

On the map below we have identified several locations ('P') where parking is available on event day.  Some of these locations have a very limited capacity so again, you'll need to arrive early to find a space.  Most locations are within 800m of the Event Base.

Recommended Parking Area

We recommend the following parking areas, all only a short walk to the Event Base using the new highway overpass (marked on the map below)

1. Public carpark just through the Toowong round-about on left BEFORE Dean St.
2. Dean St roadside
3. Wool St roadside

Free Mousdash Shuttle Service

• PRE EVENT: 5:00am - 6:00am | FROM: Wests RFC, Sylvan Rd TO: Botanic Gardens
• POST EVENT: 8:30am - 9:30am | FROM: Botanic Gardens TO: Wests RFC, Sylvan Rd

The shuttle service will depart every 20 minutes (approx) and the last trip pre-event will be 6:00am.

The closest parking for those looking to use the shuttle service is at Wests Rugby Club itself and in the surrounding streets.
