We think Just Bring Goggles says it all. Ocean swimming doesn’t require an expensive bike or running shoes and this year you don’t even need your swimmers.

Each event in the Series has been designed to offer a unique challenge:

• Wrecked - swim around sunken shipwrecks at a world famous island resort
• Cooly Classic - from one famous surf break to another
  
• Kings of the Coast - take up the challenge of iconic open water distances
  

From beginners to the experienced ocean swimmer, the series provides an ideal personal or corporate challenge in a fun, safe and social environment.  There are also course options to cater for all abilities and fitness levels.

In 2012, each event in the Series will also have more options to choose from, including a 1000m Short Course and free 300m Kids Dash at each event.  We also have an exciting new event, the 1500m Relay Challenge, as part of the new two-day format at Caloundra - it's shaping up to be a huge weekend!

So whether you're a competitive swimmer or a weekend warrior, join us for the 2012 Queensland Ocean Swim Series and set your sights on conquering three of Queensland's iconic destinations - Tangalooma, Coolangatta and Caloundra.

The Fine Ocean Swimmers Series is co-ordinated by oceanswims.com and aims to encourage ocean swimmers to take part in more swims on the Queensland circuit. It also aims a to raise awareness of the Vanuatu Open Water Swims on June 9-12, 2012.

Through Series partner, Olympus, we'll have an Olympus Tough 810 camera to give away at Tangalooma, Coolangatta & Caloundra.

Swims in the Fine Ocean Swimmers Series include:

1. January 2 - Dicky Beach
2. March 11 - Tangalooma
3. April 15 - Coolangatta
4. April 21 - Hervey Bay
5. April 29 - Caloundra

Prizes in the series include Olympus Tough 810 cameras (drawn at every event) and a trip to the Vanuatu Open Water Swim and the Espiritu Santo-Aore Swim in June 2012 (drawn at end of Series).

To qualify, swimmers must take part in four of the five swims in the series. The Vanuatu prize includes:

• Return flights to Port Vila and Santo,
• Transfers, swim entry packages and accommodation in both locations (Iririki Island Resort in Port Vila and Beachfront Resort in Luganville)
